THE DOT COM LEARNING PROGRAMME

A recent experience..

As head teacher of a school piloting missdorothy.com I decided to teach this session each week to the Year 4/5 class myself. I was curious about how the program would run but it has also allowed the Newly Qualified Teacher some non-contact time.

This has been a superb experience and luxury for me - and I think the children enjoy the sessions too! I have been able to explore issues with the children, find out so much more about them, build trust and respect through time of shared fun but also quiet reflection. We have a better understanding of each other and this can only be good for the children and the school.

I hope I will be allowed to give the teacher some free time next year in order to continue Dot's adventures.....and mine!
