Slam’s disgusting facts challenge!

After humans eat, Slam said, acid in our stomach breaks down the food so it can pass through our intestines.

This acid is so strong, he said, that our stomach produces a slime to protect itself. Without this slime our stomach acid would eat into our bodies, digesting us from the inside!

That’s an interesting and disgusting fact Slam!

Mrs Redman explained that some animals have such strong stomach acid they can digest all parts of their prey including hooves, horns and teeth!

Genie said that newborn babies poop loads.

So much so, she said, that if you kept babies’ poop and weighed it every couple of days it would weigh as much as the baby! Yuck.

Who said science is boring? I love it! The next time I have a slice of pizza I now know the journey it is about to take through my body.

Not looking forward to the weekend as I’ve been grounded. I’d better see which books I haven’t read yet. . .
