More 'Alphabet of My Holiday'... 'D' is for driving 'cos we had to do a lot of that to get to our gite in the Dordogne.
Forgot to say, we have to write at least 20 words about each of our letters. Had to be something interesting. So for 'D' I wrote: “There was a lot of DRIVING to get to our cottage in France. We drove for two days and stopped on the way at a hotel run by Monsieur Hebrand who used to be a fireman.”
Bit cheeky with 'E'! I wrote it was for 'English' because not many people we met spoke it and we had to try to speak French!
Which meant 'F' HAD to be for French. I did one of my favourite French phrases, which is “Et ta soeur!” It actually means “And your sister!” but it's really their way of saying “Pull the other one!” or “Oh yeah??” Funny!
