Sunday 12th September
Took AGES to do my for 'Alphabet of My Holiday' homework today!
Got to have 3 by tomorrow, to start off.
Couldn’t even start – couldn’t think of an ‘A’ AT ALL, till Mum reminded me about the animals at the farm near our holiday cottage, our “gite” in the Dordogne. So I put ‘A’ for animals, there was a donkey called Brassens, and three goats called Julieta, Françoise and Anne-Marie. You had to be careful with them ‘cos they’d eat ANYTHING, once when Dad was leaning over their fence holding his newspaper Françoise ate the front page!
He was a bit fed up about that ‘cos it had taken AGES to find it ‘cos of it
being an English paper. It was two days old anyway. After that he didn’t bother getting the papers any more, just chilled!
‘B’ was easy – for Beaujolais which is one of Dad’s fave French wines.
And ‘C’ for car – Wilhelmina who took us on holiday!
