DOT'S DIARIES 2010

Saturday 11th September

MUST tell more about our visit to Sylva’s cottage.

It’s near a town in Dorset called Chard. We nearly didn’t find it! Sylva had given us a map but then when we got close, we were on a REALLY small road with bigbig hedges on both sides. Couldn’t see ANYthing!!

Once we met a tractor with loads of straw and we had to back down for ages till we found a gate with a bit of space so he could get past us. Gave us a big wave and a grin.

Sylva’s note said “Look out for milk churns and a sign saying Credwell Farm. Turn left. Road a bit bumpy!”

No milk churns but then clever Mum saw a kind of wooden rack thing and said “That’s where farmers leave their milk to be collected – that’s it!” When we turned saw the farm sign, it was hidden by this leafymax tree.

It was MEGA bumpy! And couldn’t see ANY cottage!
