Tuesday 7th September

Big catch-up time at school today. Loads to tell Diary.

Genie was in India with her mum’s family for four weeks. She went riding on an elephant… showed me some pictures, it had a little kind of house on top which is called a ‘howdah’ and so she could get in with her mum and dad the man who rode the elephant made it kneel down. She said it was incredible to watch the man and the elephant together, it was like they were family, not like a man and an animal at all!!

Also her granny made her THREE saris, she’s going to bring them in to show our class, Mrs Redman asked her to. Had quite a lot of time with her granny and aunties ‘cos her mum and dad who are both doctors went to visit the hospital where they were. Said it was really good.

Her granny makes mega curries and laughs a lot, she loves jokes!!
