Jason’s dad is in hospital! He’s a fire-fighter and he had to go to this fire in an old empty shop. They were worried that it was going to set the whole street on fire. It was in the first floor and all the flames were coming out, really huge Jason said.

BUT Jason’s dad had to go in and after he went up the stairs to make sure there wasn’t anybody there the floor he was standing on suddenly broke and he fell down to the ground floor. Then they were actually UNDER all the wood from the first floor and some of it was still burning a bit.

But their friends saw what happened and went zooming in and got tem out. Jason’s dad got a broken wrist though and his breathing mask got broken off and he breathed in smoke so that's why he’s got to stay in hospital for a bit.

Sounds SCARY, fire-fighters are really brave!
