Forgot to write more about the Sopwith Camel which I was doing in Friday Diary… just a bit more…

It was a bomber as well as a fighter (I said “fight” on Friday, typo mistake, sorry!)

There’s a real one in a museum in London painted in Royal Navy colours. Bet Fred’d like to see that… maybe he has already…

Oh - Fred! That reminds me! Also forgot to say I found out what he meant when he was grumping about the health and safety lady. “If I'd wanted to go on being inspected from boots to brillcream”… Uncle Ron was here yesterday and he laughed when he heard it, said “Brylcreem used to be a kind of oily cream men used to put on their hair (yukkk!) to keep it all flat and neat. So when he says “From boots to Brylcreem” he means all over – he’s having a moan about being inspected too much.”
