DOT'S DIARIES 2010

Friday 19th February

Had a day out in Norwich today which is near where John and Jenny Mum and Dad’s friends live. Looked round the cathedral, thought it would be BOR-ING but it wasn’t, John knew all this amazing stuff about how it was built, it’s been there for NINE HUNDRED YEARS and how the monks used to have to do EIGHT services a day... and had tip up seats for when they stood up for singing etc (they also had a little ledge to lean on!)

But it’s so cool the way they built cathedrals then, didn’t have cranes or computers or even plans to help them – just did it!

Had an Italian meal afterwards. I had a kind of rolled-up pizza called ‘calzone’.

John’s got this giant TV, and we’re going to watch ‘Up’ when supper’s ready. Read about it on the net. Sounds really good but I bet Mum cries (and Dad!)

NOTE to ME: Tell about Russell the actor tomorrow.
