Slam was telling us today about this amazing basketball player he’s found out about, he’s called Luol Deng and he comes from the Sudan in Africa. But because of wars and fighting he had to leave and go and live in Egypt with all his brothers and sisters, and without his mum and dad. Later though they all came and lived in London.

I think it’s really GOOD that we help people if they’re in danger like that!

Anyway Slam said Luol went to the USA when he was 14 and studied really hard and now he’s a star with a basketball team called the Chicago Bulls. He used to get up at 6 o’clock every day at school so he could practice and do hundreds of shoots at the net!

Also he set up his own Foundation to help kids in Sudan and Chicago and here too. How cool is that!! Going to look at his website now, it’s http://www.luoldeng.org/index.html
