Saturday 6th February

Mum’s got a terrible cold and she’s been in bed all day… WOULDN’T have been ‘cos she had her weight training today… was DE-TER-MINED to go. But Dad hid Wilhelmina’s keys so she couldn’t! (She can't go there on her Go Cycle ‘cos you have to go on the bypass, bikes not allowed!)

They’d been arguing about it in the morning after he brought her b in b (Dadspeak for “breakfast in bed”) like most Saturdays. She was cross about the keys but then she started laughing and said “OK I give in!”

So we’ve been looking after her all day. Dad went out and got flowers and some nice chocolates and grapes and tonight he cooked a REALLY hot chili which even she could taste. She’s still sneezing now so Dad’s going to take her a “hot toddy” before she goes to sleep and he’s going to be in the spare room so’s he doesn’t get it too. Poor Mum!!!
