Friday 29th January
We were talking in class today about when you should say sorry about something. Made me think.
Mrs Redman said you really have to mean it when you say sorry or it’s no good, ‘cos the person you’re saying sorry to will know you don’t mean it… and it won’t help them understand about what happened and that you really ARE sorry it happened.
Slam said “But what if you REALLY don’t believe what you did was wrong, truly and honestly?” Mrs R said then you might say you understand that the other person feels bad but you can’t honestly say you thought you were wrong, ‘cos you did what you REALLY felt was right. She said “In life there isn’t always a right way for everyone and everything.”
Funny ‘cos Mum and Dad were arguing tonight about whether Mr Blair should say sorry about the war in Iraq and I told them what Mrs R had said and they stopped!
