Friday 8th August

Ta-Da!! The new shed’s coming tomorrow, can’t wait! Mum’s really pleased ‘cos she says the back room which is our dining room is like a junk shop and you have climb over things like the lawnmower and the spade and fork and loads of boxes of stuff to get to the table for supper every night.

It’s funny in the old shed now, it feels so big ‘cos it’s empty, before it was so full there was “hardly room to swing a cat” (Nan saying.. don’t know why anyone’d WANT to swing a cat, sounds like a horrible thing to do, poor kitty!) Also there’s a hole in the floor where the wood’s rotten and it’s all leaning over ‘cos of being so old.

Dad always says they have a leaning tower in a place in Italy called Pisa but we have the leaning shed of Barking Avenue!
