Dot, Wizard and Mister Mouse were in smelly heaven! The ice cream tasting department where they had landed was wonderful - clean and bright with cool music playing and lovely colours on the walls.

“Now this is a place to get creative,” said Mister Mouse. But Dot wasn’t listening. She was all business, unloading the suitcase she had brought full of her Dad’s clothes.

Mister Mouse looked at Dot like she was mad when she explained what she wanted him to do…

“You want us to wrap your Dad’s clothes around these ice cream containers?”
“That’s right,” said Dot, “wrap them round the buckets of ice cream and make sure the smells come off on Dad’s clothes.”

Mister Mouse and Wizard, ever faithful to his mistress even if she did appear to have lost her marbles, walked off with two shirts and a pair of socks and a tie. “Poor kid, she’s really lost it this time,” said Mister Mouse in the loudest whisper ever, raising his eyes to the ceiling as if hoping that anything would drop out of the sky to stop him having to do this.

But in no time all Dad’s clothes were smelling of ice cream heaven and once they got the idea, Wizard and Mister Mouse also suggested a trip to a chocolate factory and a very good vegetarian restaurant in India that Mister Mouse’s cousin Veejay recommended. He was a very cool vegetarian mouse who ate in only the best places!

At the end of the journeys Dot put the clothes back in the Dad’s wardrobe and they smelled all spicy, sweet, chocolately and utterly delicious.
Dot sincerely hoped that Dad would get the hint when he smelled the best aromas in the world.

Dot went to bed feeling very pleased with her idea, but when she woke up in the morning something was very wrong. She couldn’t smell anything, in fact she couldn’t breath at all. As Mister Mouse so kindly pointed out, her head was full of snot!

Mister Mouse went into great detail about the time when his nose was full of green bogies until Wizard held up a paw in disgust.

“My mistress is ill you silly mouse, she doesn’t need to feel sick as well as bunged up!” Dot would usually have stepped in to stop the argument, but to be fair to Mister Mouse she was actually too full of snot to care! Now what would happen if she was too sick to help Dad?
