Whoosh! Dot, Wizard and Mister Mouse suddenly fell out of the computer screen in front of Rhys and Carys and they both screamed, running into the corner of the room. Dot was horrified and apologised. “Oh I am so sorry,” she said, “bit of a bad landing, but we didn’t mean to scare you. You sent me an email about a dragon. I’m Dot Com.”

Rhys and Carys could hardly speak, they were so amazed. They couldn’t believe that Dot had really come to see them and their eyes were as wide as saucers when she explained that they could come with her on an adventure to meet Tarian the red dragon.

They were quite worried about how long they were going to be away and whether they should tell their mum. But Dot reassured them that internet time was not like human time and their mum would never know they were gone. They knew that Dot’s whole mission was to help children stay safe so they felt they could trust her to look after them…and they so wanted to meet Tarian the red dragon.

“Ok,” said Dot “Mr Mouse will type the address on the computer and we’ll be off. Don’t worry about anyone missing you because internet time is not like real time. You’ll only be gone from the real world for a second so nobody will know you’ve gone, and Wizard will look after us.”

Rhys and Carys felt their tummies turn over as their feet lifted off the floor and they were sucked into the computer screen with Dot. They had hardly dared to open their eyes when all of a sudden they were falling out of another computer screen.

They all landed with a bump and looked round them in amazement. They were in the turret of a castle, but instead of it being old and cold and windy with no windows, it was warm and cosy with glass and radiators. There were lots of machines in the room too.

Then, before they had a moment to think, there was a loud coughing noise. They all looked round and coming up the stairs towards them was the biggest red dragon they had ever seen.
