Dorothy Com is nine years old and all her friends call her Dot for short. She lives with her mum and dad, Bill and Susie Com, and she has a dog called Wizard. Wizard makes Dot feel safe. He is always with her and there is no problem that they can’t solve together.

Dot is an ordinary little girl with glasses, red hair and freckles, but she has an extraordinary secret! Dot has a magic mouse. She calls him Mr Mouse and he lives in her laptop computer. Mr Mouse can take Dot on adventures anywhere in the world. Mr Mouse taps in the address with his paws and whoosh! Dot, Wizard and Mr Mouse are literally sucked into the computer.

It’s very exciting because they never know where they are going to land. Dot loves it when they go on internet adventures because when Wizard is on the internet, he can talk…and not a lot of dogs can do that!

Dot loves whizzing round the world on the internet and visiting other children. She has her own website and children all over the world send her emails. Perhaps one day you can send an email to Dot?

One day Dot was sitting at her desk, busy answering all her emails from children everywhere, when she suddenly came across a message from two children in Wales. Their names were Rhys and Carys.

Rhys and Carys told Dot that they were five and six years old and they were writing to her because they had heard that she liked to help children with their problems. And they had a problem.

Rhys and Carys had heard that there was a Welsh dragon called Tarian who liked looking after children and keeping them safe and they wanted to know if Dot had ever met Tarian.

Dot was very excited at the thought of meeting a dragon, but she had never heard of Tarian before. She decided to ask Mr Mouse if he would take her to meet Rhys and Carys and to find Tarian. She started tapping the keys. It was time to wake up her magic mouse
